The background story of the entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur with a background spanning digital marketing, pharmaceutical sales, project management, and lead generation, I thrive on the pursuit of new projects and opportunities. My journey is marked by a relentless drive for sales excellence and strategic innovation across diverse industries. Now, I leverage my skills and experiences to tackle new challenges and make meaningful contributions to the ever-evolving business landscape. I was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and despite the massive brain drain from my country, I have decided to stay here and start a business. However, my business is tied to foreign countries because the goal of MOO's operations is to connect the workforce from Bosnia and Herzegovina with opportunities coming from abroad. Although MOO is registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its operations are conducted in the EU and the USA, which creates an excellent opportunity to achieve this goal.

Inspiration Behind My Business

What inspired me to start this business is the high level of youth unemployment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a lot of educated and smart people, but there aren't many opportunities in the country. Because of that, there was a need to seek those opportunities outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina while still keeping the workforce here.

A significant challenge you faced while starting the business and how did you overcome this challenge?

Offering the business services in foreign countries comes with many challenges. The hardest part has been people's wrong ideas about where I'm from. People still have prejudice about those who aren’t coming from the EU, even though we're part of Europe and have skilled workers. I overcame that through persistence in trying to arrange that first conversation. Once given the opportunity to introduce myself, showcase my team's skills, our past successes, our work, and offer a competitive price, doors would begin to open for me.

Patenting advice for migrant entrepreneurs

It's important to keep trying to reach your goals and not give up when things get hard. Even if cultural differences or prejudice make it tough, showing your value and quality not only helps you succeed but also teaches others about your culture and the importance of diversity.
